Chrissy Calkins Steele teaches acting, 的声音, 运动, 莎士比亚, and First Year Experience classes; directs productions; and co-leads the United Kingdom Abroad focused on 莎士比亚. She is a Designated Linklater Teacher of 的声音 for actors, and she is training in the Miracle Ball Method and the Michael Chekhov acting technique. 作为一名演员, she has performed with numerous companies, including Chicago 莎士比亚 剧院, 移动的码头, Absolute 剧院, Wisdom Bridge, Ivanhoe 剧院, ChicSpeare, and the Iowa 莎士比亚 Project. She is a founding member of Bankside Repertory 剧院 Company based in Alton, IL. She was also a workshop and residency artist for many social service and educational organizations in Chicago, including Urban Gateways and Lutheran Social Services.
